This small perennial, pertaining to the Iris family, grows in the cool-temperate rainforests and subalpine forests of eastern Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand. Its upright, firm, narrow leaves are arranged in a fan shape. The dainty flowering stem bears clusters of delicate, discretely perfumed, white flowers. Makes a great ornamental for the temperate garden in USDA Zones 9 to 10.
