Seeds from this species ...

...very easy to germinate and need up to 1 month to sprout.
Soak them in warm water first for 7 days (35 degrees.)then put them in a closed box filled with cocofibre.on a temperature of 25 to 30 degrees celcius. After 12 days the first few seeds germinated already. Put them in a deep basket because they have got a long root. They grow very fast if kept warm.

Those seeds usually germinate in 1-2 weeks, I only got chance to try 3 seeds and they sprout in moist seed-compost, with temp. around 25-30°C (covered). Seedlings growth is very fast, about three leaves a month. This type of method will work with all Yucca's.

Ratings and comments reflect individual experiences and the views of our visitors. They do not necessarily describe the most appropriate methods, nor are they necessarily valid for all seeds or plants of this species. Germination and plant cultivation success depends on many different factors; nevertheless, these experiences will hopefully aid you in your effort to get the best germination results from our seeds and the best growth results from your plants.
